Wake to the frantic calls of francolin, spend your afternoons watching warthogs wallow in the mud, and sip a cold drink on your veranda as elephants visit your private waterhole. As night falls, gather around the fire pit and listen to hyenas calling in the distance. At Mahlathini, every moment in the bush is unforgettable.
Your private 21-hectare stand offers the ultimate blend of privacy, tranquillity, and raw African wilderness.

Nestled in the mopane and bushwillow woodlands, Mahlathini adjoins the world-renowned Kruger National Park to the east and Letaba Ranch to the north. While it feels a world away from civilisation, Mahlathini remains easily accessible by road.
Despite its deep bush setting, life here is comfortable and convenient. Mahlathini is just 15 minutes from Phalaborwa town, 25 minutes from the Phalaborwa Kruger Park gate, and 30 minutes from the Hans Merensky 18-hole “golf-in-the-wild” course.
Mahlathini—derived from the Tsonga-Shangaan phrase meaning “in the bush”—offers a life immersed in nature, without giving up the comforts of modern living.

We are German, and after 20 years of holidaying in South Africa, we fell deeply in love with the country. Now retired, we took our time deciding where to spend the next chapter of our lives. After a thorough search, we chose the beautiful Mahlathini Private Game Reserve, drawn in part by its proximity to the Kruger National Park. We purchased a plot with a house here, and we feel wonderfully at home. We cherish the peace and quiet of the bush, the warmth of the resisents on the Reserve, and especially the wildlife that visits our waterhole to drink. We're thrilled with our decision. For anyone who loves nature and animals, this is a perfect place.
Magnificent magical Mahlahtini..an incredible place Our move here earlier this year has brought so much happiness to the both of us..a backyard of plus minus 1300 hectares of raw bush and trees flanked by the Letaba Ranch Reserve in the North and the Kruger National Park to the East, both a stones throw away, yet with easy access to all modern amenities, only 10 minutes down the road. It's heaven on earth living here in nature with the animals and many different bird species, not forgetting the wonderful sounds and vistas..we are so glad we moved here.Never in our lives have we been so happy.
